Oasis and The Charities Parliament will be hosting a hustings with a specific emphasis. The event, entitled ‘Investing in our Children’s Future’, will take place on the evening of the 28th April at Oasis Academy MediaCityUK. The current MP, Hazel Blears (Labour), Matthew Sephton (Conservative) and Norman Owen (Liberal Democrat) will be addressing local and national issues. This particular husting will specifically focus on education and families, but will also look at other election issues too.

Oasis Academy MediaCityUK, are pleased to announce that our GCSE results have improved for the second consecutive year. The percentage of students passing 5+A*-C’s including English and Maths at GCSE level is now 41%, rising from 36% last year. The percentage of students passing 5+A*-C’s in all other areas is 82% once again an increase on the 67% achieved last year

The students were in competition to win a £25 shopping voucher, donated by Edmundson Electrical, Stockport, to fund a form time Christmas party. Alongside our own competition, all the local primary schools were contacted to ask their students to produce their own Anti Bullying posters
