Fresh data released by the Government has
highlighted Oasis Academy MediaCityUK as
one of the best performing secondary
schools in the Salford area.
The information issued by the Department for
Education rates the Academy as one of the top
schools in the area for students achieving A*-C
GCSE grades including English and Maths.
Academy Principal Patrick Ottley-O’Connor
said: “The Schools’ Performance Tables now
include much greater detail. They show how
well disadvantaged children are performing in
each school and whether previously high,
middle and low achieving students continue to
make progress.
“The statistics sit very favourably amongst
other secondary schools in the area, with
GCSE grades being driven by a relentless focus
on the quality of learning.
“I am proud of everything our students have
achieved. It is now important that we continue to
strive for even greater academic success in 2012.”
