Steve Chalke CEO of Oasis Community Learning visited our Academy to talk with students and key community members of the community about who OASIS are and what they do.
Also on this day Patrick Ottely O'Conner the Academies new principle spent time introducing himself to Students through fun and inspirational assemblies.
The morning was all about the Students of the Academy Patrick and Steve both gave exciting and motivating talks to the students about their futures and the Academy down at MediaCityUK.
During the dinner break Steve was able to take part in our South Africa Day activities during which students sold Fair Trade chocolate and the canteen staff put on different South Africa tasters for all to try.
Key stake holders from the community were invited in to find out more about the Academies future and Oasis. Both Steve and Patrick talked about exciting new plans for the Academy and its development on MediaCityUK. Students from the Academy choir also had a chance to perform for these stake holders as part of the South Africa Day singing a mixture of South African songs.
The day was completed by Steve Chalke talking to parents at our New Intake Evening about academy plans, its future and more. Parent's left enthused and excited by the academies prospects in the future.
