The evening of Wednesday 6th April saw the official launch by Oasis Trust founder, Steve Chalke MBE, of Oasis Academy MediaCityUK Parents' Community. Steve presented a copy of the Parents' Community Mission Statement, after a question and answer session with parents & carers who attended.
The Parents' Community is a group of Parents & Carers who started meeting half termly in January 2011, to discuss Academy related issues. The aim of the Parents' Community is to enhance the academic and personal growth of the students and bring about change, through engaging parents in school life.
Following the launch, parents who attended the Arts Showcase were invited to complete a questionnaire which will provide a focus for future Parents' Community meetings. (The questionnaire is available to download for completion)
The next Parents' Community meeting is Tuesday 10th May 6.30pm. All Parents & Carers are welcome.
