TIME FOR A CLEAN UP?

Reported By Student: George Broadley

Oasis Academy MediaCityUK's Eco Team participated in the clean up of Buile Hill Park. The clean up started at 09:30am and we had finished by 11:30am within that time we had collected thirteen bags of rubbish when we got back to the academy we sorted the rubbish into recyclables and everyday waste. On the day we saved seven kilograms of recyclables from being sent to landfill.

The academy Eco Team at Buile Hill Park

At the park we were in teams of two and we split up to get the rubbish we managed to gather thirteen bags of rubbish before heading back to the academy. Whilst we were there it wasn't all litter picking we did take breaks but in the two hour's we did more than what we expected. At the end of the two hour's we made our way back to the academy and managed to de-clutter all the recyclables and get them sent off to be recycled. The problem was that we still had eight bags full of rubbish which should have been thrown away but we saved some of it by reusing it or giving it to companies that would safely dispose of it. We were fairly pleased with the success we had made. We had only sent six bags of the rubbish we had collected to landfill and the other seven were either reused or safely disposed of. On the day the greenhouse emissions of the rubbish rotting away was reduced by 37% and it was due to the academy's dedicated Eco-Team.

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
