Today Oasis Academy MediacityUk had the privilege of welcoming Alison Cope, a nationally recognised anti-violence campaigner, who delivered powerful and thought-provoking sessions to our Year 10 and Year 11 students.
Alison works tirelessly to prevent youth violence by sharing the life and and tragic loss of her son, Joshua. Through her honest and deeply personal story, she helps young people understand the real-world consequences of violence and the importance of making positive choices.
The sessions were incredibly emotive, and our students engaged throughout.
We are grateful to Alison for giving her time and for delivering such an important message including the implications of choices made on social media. Her visit has left a lasting impression on our school community and will continue to spark meaningful conversations among our students.
