The wait is finally over for Year 11 students at Oasis Academy MediaCityUK, who returned to school today to receive their GCSE results – and it was a morning of celebration, smiles, and new beginnings.
This year, students have not only achieved excellent grades but have also shown resilience, determination, and just how committed they are to their futures beyond the school gates. These achievements reflect the way Oasis Academy MediaCityUK supports every part of a young person’s development, not just helping them succeed academically, but also building their confidence, character, and life skills.
Among the high achievers was Saif Abu Salah who secured 6 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s, 1 grade 7 and a distinction and will be going on to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at Loreto College. Saif said: “I am most proud of my RS grade and my message to other students is to focus in lessons.”
Another student, Almaan Sattar, also performed brilliantly, earning 3 grade 9s, 1 grade 8, 3 grade 7s, 1 grade 6, 1 grade 5 and 1 distinction, and will now be pursuing their dream of studying neuroscience or aviation at university. Almaan said “I am most proud of my Maths!”. He is going on to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at Pendleton.
Christian Harris, Principal at Oasis Academy MediaCityUK said: “We’re incredibly proud of all our students today. These results are a testament to their hard work and the dedication of our amazing staff. Our students have come through with determination and ambition – we can’t wait to see what they do next.”
